I've often wondered what makes some music "dark." Is it because we have been taught to associate low, deep sounds, with dark or evil things? The movie industry may have trained us well! At any rate, "Into the Dark" is a superb ride on a mysteriously "dark" landscape. ...a Ballardian landscape? That's up to the individual to decide. Track one, my favorite is an underwater ride, a very textural one, in which known sounds morph themselves into mysteriously curious living entities.....love it!

This is as desolate as the howling winds over an utterly lifeless landscape. Here, the darkness creeps over you like a thick and gooey substance, never letting go for the entire 1hr 10min, and 23 seconds!
